Apple Considers New Colors for iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max
January 8, 2026
Apple is exploring three fresh color options for its upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models, according to leaks from a well-known source. However, the company is expected to move forward with just one of these options.
Potential New Colors
The colors under consideration include burgundy, brown, and purple, as reported by Instant Digital, a user on Weibo with a history of accurate Apple leaks. Past predictions include the yellow finish for the iPhone 14 and the Titanium Milanese Loop for the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Nonetheless, the reliability of this source isn't guaranteed, and the actual shades remain undisclosed.

Previous and Future Color Options
Current iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models come in Silver, Cosmic Orange, and Deep Blue. It remains uncertain whether any of these current colors will be reused for the next generation.
A particularly noteworthy possibility is burgundy. If selected, it would be the first red hue for the Pro and Pro Max models, distinguished by a deeper shade compared to Apple's usual (PRODUCT)RED series.
Historically, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have featured Deep Purple, but there has never been a true brown version of the iPhone.
Timeline for Launch
The launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max isn't expected until September 2026, leaving ample time for Apple to finalize its color options.
