Meta Delays International Launch of Ray-Ban Display Smart Glasses to Early 2026
January 6, 2026
Meta has announced a postponement of its international rollout for the Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, initially scheduled for early 2026. The company will no longer launch these innovative glasses in France, Italy, Canada, and the UK during that timeframe, citing "unprecedented demand and limited inventory" as primary reasons.

Since its debut last fall, the Ray-Ban Display has garnered significant interest, leading to extensive waitlists that extend into 2026. Meta stated in a CES blog post, "We’ve seen an overwhelming amount of interest, and as a result, product waitlists now extend well into 2026." The company confirmed that its current focus remains on fulfilling domestic orders in the United States while reassessing its international distribution strategy.
Meta has not provided a new timeline for the global release. The delay is expected to be disappointing for international enthusiasts eager to experience the smart glasses, especially since reviews, such as Victoria Song's from The Verge, have praised the product as "the best I’ve ever tried."
Stay tuned for updates on the international launch and further developments on Meta’s smart glasses offerings.
