Stranger Things: Secrets, Spoilers, and Future Spin-offs

Stranger Things has concluded, revealing the fates of its beloved characters. Watching Finn Wolfhard on Jimmy Fallon in 2023, fans could already glimpse the destiny awaiting one Hawkins hero.
The series finale delivered intense moments, memorable music, and a few story inconsistencies, all while addressing Netflix’s biggest challenge. Although it didn’t set the stage for a Season 6, the show’s creators have plans for several spin-offs, including the animated series Tales From ’85.
Finn Wolfhard’s Hint About Eleven’s Future
Back in 2023, during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, Finn Wolfhard inadvertently hinted at Eleven’s fate. The finale left her either trapped in the Upside Down, sacrificing herself to save her friends, or using her powers to escape, now living in a quiet town where Mike believes she has found peace.
Regardless of her ultimate destiny, she remains out there somewhere. Wolfhard speculated about future spin-offs, joking, “They’re going to have us back in 20 years. We’re all going to be like fat and old and being like ‘Eleven, where are you?’” His voice then trailed off as he added, “You know, that kind-of thing.” Fans paying close attention could interpret this as confirmation that Eleven was missing at the series’ end.
Wolfhard’s Insight into Future Storylines
In addition, Wolfhard shared that he had pitched ideas for the franchise’s future to the Duffer brothers, and he was right about where the story could go.
He recounted, “I was like, ‘If you guys are actually going to do a spinoff, it should be this.’ I said it, and the Duffers looked at each other, then at me, and said, ‘Can we talk to you for a second?’” They pulled him aside and confirmed, “That is the idea. Who told you?” To which Wolfhard replied, “No one. I just thought that would be a cool way to expand.”
He added, “They told me, ‘Okay, don’t tell anyone!’”
