Sega Files Lawsuit Over Unauthorized Uploads of Game Soundtracks on Streaming Platforms

January 8, 2026

Sega is taking legal action against an individual accused of uploading its popular game soundtracks to major streaming services. According to reports from Aftermath, the company has filed a lawsuit against a user with the username Ziodyne, who allegedly uploaded albums including Persona 3 Reload and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey to platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon.

Sega claims that these uploads occurred before the company had the chance to officially release the soundtracks on these music services. The company alleges that Ziodyne received "significant revenue and profits" from the unauthorized sales of its music.

In the lawsuit, Sega is seeking damages amounting to $60,000. The case highlights ongoing concerns over copyright infringement and unauthorized distribution of intellectual property in the digital age.
