Nvidia Launches DGX Spark: The Portable AI Supercomputer
January 7, 2026

Nvidia has announced that it will begin selling its DGX Spark “personal AI supercomputer” this week, marking a significant step toward democratizing advanced artificial intelligence tools. Compact enough to sit on a desktop, the DGX Spark offers cutting-edge performance for working on sophisticated AI models.
Starting Wednesday, October 15th, consumers can order the DGX Spark online at nvidia.com, as well as from select partners and retail stores across the US. Originally previewed earlier this year with a price tag of around $3,000, the current listing indicates a price of $3,999. Notably, competing PC manufacturers, such as Acer with their Veriton GN100, have released customized versions also priced at approximately $3,999.
Power and Performance
The DGX Spark is designed to deliver the kind of AI processing power historically confined to large, energy-intensive data centers. It features Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, 128GB of unified memory, and up to 4TB of NVMe SSD storage. Nvidia claims it can achieve a petaflop of AI performance, capable of performing a million billion calculations per second, and supports models with up to 200 billion parameters.
Democratizing AI for Researchers and Developers
This compact supercomputer is poised to empower individual researchers, data scientists, and students, as Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang emphasized earlier this year: “placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”
Market and Future Developments
Nvidia has indicated that other manufacturers are welcome to produce their own versions of the Spark, with several major brands—including Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, and MSI—already debuting customized models. The DGX Spark’s small size makes it ideal for desktop use, running from a standard power outlet, eliminating the need for dedicated data center facilities.
While Nvidia has introduced a larger sibling called Station, details about its release date remain unconfirmed.
Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the DGX Spark was "now available to buy." It is set to go on sale starting October 15th.
