The ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo is making a bold return at CES 2026, featuring an all-new design with edge-to-edge dual screens designed specifically for gaming and multitasking enthusiasts. This innovative laptop takes the concept of the Zenbook Duo and elevates it for gaming, combining power and versatility in a sleek package.

Design and Display Innovations

The latest Zephyrus Duo boasts two massive 16-inch OLED HDR displays, each offering a stunning 3K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. These screens can reach peak brightness levels of 1,100 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals even in bright environments. The laptop includes a detachable keyboard and trackpad, which can be used wirelessly or placed over the lower display, offering flexible gaming and productivity setups.

This design transforms the device into a dual-screen powerhouse, suitable for multitasking with applications like Battlefield 6 on one screen and productivity tools like WordPress or Slack on the other.

Hardware and Performance

Built for gaming enthusiasts, the Zephyrus Duo is powered by Intel Panther Lake processors coupled with Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs—up to the RTX 5090. The device's thickness measures approximately 0.77 inches (19.6 mm) and weighs about 6.28 pounds (2.85 kg), making it a portable yet powerful gaming machine.

It features extensive port options, including HDMI 2.1, USB-C / Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, and a full-size SD card slot, catering to gamers and content creators alike.

Enhanced Features and User Experience

The new Zephyrus Duo offers multiple display modes—dual-screen setups, tent mode, flat mode, or traditional single-screen use—making it highly versatile. The hinged design includes improved accessibility and cooling, thanks to a redesigned bottom panel that Asus claims will improve thermal performance.

The device also boasts factory-calibrated OLED displays with HDR support, capable of reaching 1,000 nits brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals and excellent color accuracy.

Refinements to the Traditional Zephyrus G14 and G16

Alongside the dual-screen model, ASUS has announced updates to its classic Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops. These refreshed models now feature Intel Panther Lake chips, RTX 50-series GPUs, and upgraded LED lighting with 35 LED segments—up from just seven—capable of displaying battery status.

Other improvements include easier-to-open hinges, better cooling solutions, and factory-calibrated HDR displays with up to 1,000 nits brightness. Plus, the G14 introduces a full-sized SD card slot, catering to photographers and content creators.

Availability and Pricing

While official pricing remains undisclosed, both the new Zephyrus Duo and the refreshed G14 and G16 are expected to launch in mid-to-late Q2 2026.
