Segway Unveils New E-Bikes and Electric Dirt Bike at CES 2024
January 6, 2026
==============================================================
Last year’s CES showcased Segway’s innovative high-powered e-bikes, and this year, the brand returned with a broader lineup tailored for different riders and lifestyles. Owned by Ninebot, Segway introduced two new versatile e-bikes — the Myon and Muxi — along with an eye-catching electric dirt bike called the Xaber 300, expanding their offerings in both city commuting and off-road adventure markets.
New Features Focused on Security and Smart Riding
Both the Myon and Muxi come equipped with advanced anti-theft systems, including a novel Lost Mode that allows owners to remotely disable their bikes and batteries if stolen. These e-bikes also provide comprehensive real-time health and fitness data, complemented by full-color screens and software updates that deliver more refined power assistance.
A notable upgrade is the optional RearView Radar, priced at $99.99, with a 150-degree field of view and a range of up to 230 feet behind the rider. This millimeter-wave radar enhances safety by alerting cyclists to approaching vehicles and can detect the direction and proximity of potential hazards.
Additional features include the Xiro Dropper seat post, which senses when riders are slowing and automatically lowers to improve stability. Priced at $299.99, this add-on makes mounting and dismounting easier and more comfortable.
The Myon: Designed for Commuters and Leisure Riders
The Myon e-bike exemplifies versatility with its multiple configurations: Class 1 (pedal-assist, no throttle, max 20mph), Class 2 (throttle, max 20mph), and Class 3 (no throttle, max 28mph). Powered by a 500W motor with 85Nm of peak torque and a 48V / 722Wh battery, it offers up to 80 miles of range on a single charge.
The ride is engineered for comfort, featuring 80mm front suspension travel, hydraulic disc brakes, and Segway’s new proprietary electronic shifting system. This shifting system is designed to be intuitive, using simple "+" and "–" buttons on the handlebars to control a servo near the derailleur, which is adjustable via a dedicated app for precision tuning. The TurboTuned Algorithm 2.0 ensures smooth power delivery by continuously syncing motor and battery performance based on pedaling effort, cadence, and terrain.
The bike boasts a low-step frame for easy mounting, with an optional removable top tube for $99.99. Starting at $1,999, the Myon is available for preorder as of January 6th, making it an affordable choice in the e-bike market.
The Muxi: A Retro-Inspired Beach Cruiser
Segway’s Muxi offers a relaxed, approachable riding experience with its vintage appearance and upright stance. It features a single-speed drivetrain and a 750W direct-drive motor delivering 80Nm of torque. Available in Class 1 or Class 2, the Muxi emphasizes safety and stability with features like Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, regenerative braking, and Traction Control System to prevent wheel spin.
Designed to be customizable with a range of accessories such as cargo racks and passenger seats, the Muxi aims to be a versatile ride for leisure or practical errands. Set to retail starting at $1,699 when released in March 2026, it caters to riders seeking a stylish, easy-to-use electric cruiser.
The Xaber 300: The Off-Road Beast
Segway’s latest electric dirt bike, the Xaber 300, targets extreme off-road enthusiasts. While specific specifications remain under wraps, it’s designed to offer three power modes equivalent to 150cc, 200cc, and 300cc bikes, allowing riders to progress without needing an upgrade.
Additional off-road features include a virtual electronic clutch for precise control, a selectable Traction Control System adaptable to different terrains, and a companion app that allows riders to set maximum wheelie angles for skill development. Parental controls are integrated to regulate top speed and establish geofenced riding zones, making it a safer option for younger riders although compliance depends on individual adherence.
Expected for sale later this year, details on the price are yet to be announced, but this high-performance dirt bike promises to deliver an adrenaline-filled experience for off-road aficionados.
Stay tuned for more updates on Segway’s innovative line-up as they continue to push the boundaries of electric mobility in 2024.
