Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR: Coming Soon to US Yards

January 6, 2026

robot lawn mower

Roborock is set to introduce its latest robot lawn mower, the RockMow X1 LiDAR, to the US market later this year. This move follows the company's expansion into robotic yard care products last year, and marks a significant step in bringing advanced autonomous mowing technology to American homeowners.

Advanced Navigation and Features

Announced at CES, the RockMow X1 LiDAR boasts sophisticated features such as:

  • Autonomous Navigation: Utilizes 360-degree 3D scanning powered by LiDAR and Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology.
  • All-Wheel Drive: Enhances stability and traction across varied terrains.
  • Obstacle Handling: Capable of crossing obstacles up to 3.1 inches high and tackling slopes up to 80%.

Mowing Capacity and Limitations

The robot can mow up to half an acre (approximately 2,000 square meters) per day. While impressive, this is less than the 5,000 square meters achievable by its predecessor, the RockMow Z1.

Competition in the US Market

The launch of the RockMow X1 LiDAR introduces competition among robotic lawn mowers using LiDAR technology. Several other brands also offer similar features, making the US lawn-mowing robot scene increasingly competitive.

Stay tuned for availability updates and more tech insights from Roborock as the launch approaches.
