Asus ROG Flow Z13 x Kojima Productions Edition: A Limited-Edition Gaming Tablet
January 6, 2026

The special edition tablet features Yoji Shinkawa’s signature design
Antonio G. Di Benedetto, a seasoned reviewer with over 15 years in photography and a recent addition to The Verge, reports on Asus’s latest collaboration for CES 2026. The company has unveiled a striking limited-edition version of its ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet, created in partnership with Kojima Productions.
Unique Design Inspired by Death Stranding
This special edition, named the Asus ROG Flow Z13 x Kojima Productions, transforms last year’s AMD Strix Halo-powered tablet into a masterpiece of bold visuals. It features a two-tone metallic gold and black color scheme, along with a carbon fiber rear panel. The design draws heavily from the gritty, mechanized aesthetic of the Death Stranding universe and incorporates the artistic style of Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima Productions’ renowned artist.
The tablet’s body is adorned with angular, geometric lines that evoke futuristic machinery. Military-style warnings and mottos, such as “Heat vent do not cover” and “For Ludens who dare,” echo the themes of exploration and daring associated with Kojima’s mascot, Ludens.
Accessories and Limited Editions
The KJP edition includes a white hard case with an attaché-style design, reinforcing its premium feel. Additional accessories—such as a white headset, mouse, and desk mat—are available separately or bundled in select regions. An exclusive variant prepared for Kojima Productions will feature a custom keyboard with metallic keycaps and a new faux-leather cover, elevating the aesthetic further.
Launch Details and Pricing
Set to launch in mid-to-late Q1 2026, the pricing remains undisclosed but is expected to be announced as the release nears. The collaboration emphasizes exclusivity, targeting fans and collectors eager for unique gaming gear.
Personal Impressions
While I haven't played the Death Stranding games myself, the collaboration’s visual appeal is undeniable. As a fan of the ROG Flow Z13, I find Yoji Shinkawa’s art style on this device to be a compelling reason to consider owning this special edition.
