Logitech Announces Pro X2 Superstrike: Innovative Analog Gaming Mouse with Haptic Feedback
September 17, 2025
Logitech is set to launch its latest flagship wireless gaming mouse, the Pro X2 Superstrike, early next year, priced at $179.99. This new device features a groundbreaking analog system with haptic actuators designed to simulate the sensation of a click, replacing traditional mechanical switches.
Revolutionary Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS)
At the core of the Superstrike is Logitech’s Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS), which offers just 0.6mm of travel per main button—significantly less than conventional mice. This design enables users to click faster thanks to low latency—with Logitech claiming up to 30 milliseconds improvement—along with 10 customizable actuation points and support for rapid trigger functionality.
Rapid Trigger: Faster Responses for Gamers
Typically found in gaming keyboards, rapid trigger allows the sensor to reset with minimal lift, enabling quicker input registration. The Superstrike supports five configurable reset points through Logitech’s G Hub software, giving gamers granular control over when the analog sensor resets and enhancing response times.
Design and Technical Specs
- Weight: 65 grams
- Sensor: Logitech’s Hero 2 sensor, also used in the current Pro X lineup
- Connectivity: Wireless via Lightspeed USB-A dongle, supporting up to 8,000Hz polling rate (accessible through G Hub)
- Software: G Hub for customization
While an 8,000Hz polling rate might seem excessive for most gamers due to reaction time limitations, it remains to be seen if it offers a tangible advantage when combined with the Superstrike’s rapid trigger features.
The Superlight 2C: A Compact Alternative
Alongside the Superstrike, Logitech announced the Superlight 2C, a more petite version of the Superlight 2 mouse. Weighing only 51 grams—about 10% lighter—and slightly smaller overall, it caters to gamers with smaller hands. Aside from its shape, its specifications align with the Superlight 2, and it will be available starting October 21st for $159.99.
Stay tuned for more updates as Logitech's latest gaming peripherals aim to push the boundaries of responsiveness and precision for competitive gamers.
