MSI Announces the Stealth 16 AI Plus Gaming Laptop for CES 2026
January 5, 2026
MSI is gearing up to unveil its latest gaming laptop, the Stealth 16 AI Plus, at CES 2026. This new addition to the Stealth series combines a sleek, lightweight design inspired by its business-class siblings with powerful gaming capabilities.

Design and Display
The Stealth 16 AI Plus features a thinner and more portable chassis, measuring just 19.9mm at its thickest point. It sports a larger trackpad and comes equipped with a 240Hz OLED display in most regions, with some markets receiving an IPS panel instead. This design emphasizes discretion and portability, making it suitable for work at cafes or on the move. However, users seeking complete stealth might want to disable the four-zone RGB lighting.
Hardware Specifications
- Processor: Intel Panther Lake
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 5060 (configurable up to RTX 5090)
- Price: Starting at $2,099
- Availability: Expected in March
Despite its gaming ambitions, the GPU power is capped at 100W, aligning with its focus on a thin chassis aimed at creators and everyday users rather than peak gaming performance.
Internal Features
Inside, the Stealth 16 AI Plus offers impressive versatility:
- Two DDR5 RAM slots
- Two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slots
- A 90Wh battery (slightly smaller than the previous 99Wh)
- An array of ports, including Ethernet
During an in-person demo, the device showcased impressive features, but its real competitiveness will be tested against peers like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16.
