January 4, 2026

Cameron Faulkner, an editor specializing in deals and gaming hardware, reports on the latest tech unveiled at CES 2026. Among the most intriguing announcements is SwitchBot's new product: the Weather Station.
This compact device features a 7.5-inch framed E Ink screen that displays a wealth of weather information. Its interface showcases the current date, time, weather conditions, a six-day forecast, and sunrise and sunset times. The Weather Station also includes built-in sensors that measure indoor temperature and humidity, providing real-time environmental data.
One of its standout features is an AI-powered component accessible via a button on the device's bottom bezel. This AI can generate personalized insights and recommendations based on the weather report, as well as create "weather-related aspirational quotes" to motivate users throughout the day.
Beyond weather information, the Weather Station functions as a calendar display. It supports multiplatform calendar syncing, though specific compatible platforms were not disclosed. Users with a SwitchBot hub can also control connected smart devices across platforms like Matter, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home by switching scenes directly from the device.
Pricing and availability details for the Weather Station have not been announced yet. Stay tuned for further updates as CES 2026 progresses.
